About Children for Children

Mission

Children for Children mobilizes the energy, ingenuity and compassion of young people, beginning at an early age, to discover their power and potential to solve real world problems through volunteer opportunities and service learning programs that instill a lifelong commitment to service.

About Us

Children for Children programs engage more than 100,000 young people annually through 25 programs and initiatives that are implemented in 26 states. CFC’s continuum of programs- from Grow Involved on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to Sweat for Nets- offer young people, educators, families, and community groups a menu of developmentally appropriate programs designed for use in school, after-school, out of school, community, family and online settings.

Founded in 1996, Children for Children teaches the value of civic engagement and demonstrates that, no matter how young, everyone has something to give. While participating in CFC’s numerous service events and service-learning programs, young people are encouraged to think about the world beyond their own neighborhoods, address issues with constructive methods, and become agents of positive change in their communities. CFC programs empower youth to recognize their own individual and collective relevance.
