Corporate Volunteering with Kids
Partnership with Children for Children® (CFC) provides a platform to demonstrate your company's commitment to New York communities, our public school system, and the next generation - ensuring that young people are effectively engaged and encouraged to serve as lifelong stewards of their community.

Sponsorship of CFC Programs & Events
CFC's fast growing and highly effective programs and large-scale events such as National Volunteer Week/ Global Youth Service Day and Grow Involved on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, engage thousands of youth throughout New York in service. Annual Children for Children Benefit
Held each spring, the Annual Benefit is an important vehicle through which CFC raises funds to support its youth service programs and to purchase essential educational tools for New York City's most under-resourced schools. The Benefit also serves as an opportunity to honor exceptional members of our community who have proven to be dynamic leaders during the previous year. Online Giving
We accept donations via NYCharities.org and Network for Good. Simply click on the NYCharities.org logo below and follow the directions provided.

Make a donation via mail or telephone (and save CFC processing fees). Please call us at 212.850.4170 or send your donation to: Children for Children, Attn: Development, 6 East 43rd Street, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10017.

Matching Gifts
 
Please check with your employer to see if a Matching Gift Program is available. If so, please enclose a matching gift form with your donation.




 
Gifts in Kind
Children for Children relies heavily on donated goods and services from various companies and individuals. We are always looking for donations of printing services. In addition, we need large quantities of books, craft/art supplies, gardening supplies, and paper.

Gifts of Securities, Stocks, or Mutual Funds
Gifts of securities, which have risen in value since their purchase, are particularly attractive under our current tax laws. Here's why:
  • You avoid all capital gains tax when you contribute long-term appreciated securities to the Children for Children Foundation.

  • You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities (on date of transfer) if it has been held longer than one year.

  • The fair market value of the assets can be deducted against up to 30% of your adjusted gross income and any excess deductions can be carried forward into as many as five additional tax years.

Honor/Memorial Contributions
You can make a contribution in honor of an anniversary, birthday, wedding, graduation, special occasion, or in memoriam of a loved one. To do so, either donate online or mail your gift to the address above. If you contribute via mail, please include names and addresses of those individuals that are to be notified of your donation.




 
Bequests
A bequest in your will is a meaningful legacy you can provide for your family, friends, and favorite charity. Your bequest to the Children for Children Foundation will help to insure that the good work you supported during your lifetime will continue. Although legal consultation is always advisable before you design any type of will provision, you should know that a bequest could be simply stated as follows:
  1. I give, devise and bequeath the sum of $_________ to the Children for Children Foundation, a New York charitable corporation, 6 East 43rd Street, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10017, for its charitable purposes.

  2. I hereby give, devise and bequeath________% of my residuary estate to the Children for Children Foundation, a New York charitable corporation, 6 East 43rd Street, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10017, for its charitable purposes.

  3. All the residue of my estate, including, without limitation, real and personal property, I give, devise and bequeath to the Children for Children Foundation, 6 East 43rd Street, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10017. (You may also divide the residue of your estate between more than one charity and/or people.)

You also may give a specific bequest of property such as real estate, artwork or jewelry.

Your concern and appreciation for Children for Children will extend far beyond your own lifetime. It will be a lasting legacy, enriching the lives of future generations as Children for Children works to engage youngsters to become active, caring, and committed members of their communities.




 
Gifts of Life Insurance and Other Assets
Life insurance and certificates of deposit are appropriate assets to consider donating to the Children for Children Foundation. You can make a significant contribution to CFC's future by using resources originally acquired to protect you and your family.
  • You may give a gift of life insurance whether or not the policy is paid up. To claim an income tax charitable deduction for a gift of life insurance, you must name the Children for Children Foundation as both the owner and beneficiary of the policy.

  • You can name the Children for Children Foundation as a co-beneficiary or an alternate beneficiary with no tax deduction. (Your estate will receive an estate tax charitable deduction for amounts paid to the Children for Children Foundation at your death.)

  • You can name the Children for Children Foundation as a joint owner of your certificates of deposit and savings plans. This type of gift allows you to provide future support for CFC while you avoid any unnecessary estate expenses.




 
Retirement Benefits
The benefits of retirement plans payable at your death may be subject to both income and estate taxes. If you name the Children for Children Foundation as the beneficiary, the full amount of the benefits passing to CFC at your death will pass free of estate and income taxes. This may make designating CFC to receive retirement benefits the most tax-effective way to make a planned gift.




 
Gifts of Real Estate
Whether it's a house, vacation home, office building or plot of land, your property may be a very important gift for you and the Children for Children Foundation.

A real estate gift can provide you with a combination of advantages and tax savings. Some of the benefits of a real estate gift that is accepted by the Children for Children Foundation include:
  • An immediate charitable income tax deduction in the year you make the gift.

  • Avoiding capital gains taxes at the time of the transfer.

  • The opportunity to live in your home or use the property for the rest of your life.

  • Knowing that the property will be excluded from any estate and inheritance taxes.

Because each property and gift plan is unique, any real estate gift will require careful consideration by your legal and tax advisors and by our advisors, as well.
