Citizens Committee for NYC

Citizens for NYC's Bank of America Youth Entrepreneur Month Awards Program is a competitive program that supports and recognizes youth entrepreneurs, promotes youth innovation, increases the number of nonprofit organizations supporting youth entrepreneurship, and links youth-run ventures to the many business sectors in New York City.

Youth for Youth Incentive Grants offer up to $1,000 for youth-run projects that address problems such as drug abuse, AIDS, youth unemployment, local school drop-out rates, and teen pregnancy.

In addition to the grants offered by the Citizens Committee's three program departments, there is also a special multi-year grant program to help build neighborhood intergroup and intercultural awareness. The Strengthening Neighborhood Assets Program (SNAP), this grant provides technical and financial assistance for 30 neighborhood youth and adult organizations and coalitions throughout the city that focus on preventing bias and building intergroup and intercultural communication and appreciation. Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes seeks nominations for its annual awards. The Barron Prize recognizes young people ages 8 to 18 who have shown leadership and courage in public service to people and our planet. Half of each year's winners are chosen for their work to protect the environment. Winners receive $2,000 to support their service work or higher education. Check it out.

Youth Venture

Apply to become a Youth Venturer. If accepted, Youth Venture will help you start your project, and provide technical and financial assistance. Check it out.

You can win a $1,000 award, provided by the Global Youth Action Network. We challenge you to act on the issues that concern you! If you start a project that addresses a need in your community, you could win a 1,000 USD Global Youth In Action Award! Check it out.

The Constitutional Rights Foundation

Each year, with support from the Maurice R. Robinson Fund of New York City, the organization's Robinson Mini-Grant Program awards mini-grants of up to $500 for K-12 service-learning projects designed to address serious community issues such as poverty, hunger, the environment, mentoring children and youth, crime and safety issues, and aging.
