On Sunday, November 22, 2009, Children for Children will host its fourth annual Grow Involved for the Holidays Family Fun’raiser at Blue Smoke and Jazz Standard in New York City. This year, the Family Fun'raiser will bring together hundreds of volunteers from across the city to share Blue Smoke’s award-winning barbecue and participate in a hands-on service fair.
Children for Children’s Family Fun’raiser is a meaningful way for children, families, and groups to learn about and participate in service projects which benefit our local and global neighbors. During the event, youth and adult volunteers will help serve up spectacular southern barbecue and participate in youth-led service projects such as decorating stuffed animals to benefit children in the hospital, creating care kits for the local shelters, making holiday cards for our troops abroad, partaking in a hunger awareness campaign and much more!
