Join Children for Children on April 24th for Take Action New York!

On April 24th, Children for Children will host a hands-on volunteer day in New York City. On this day, CFC will be doing what it does best, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers of all ages as part of our annual celebration of National Volunteer Week and Global Youth Service Day.

Global Youth Service Day / World Malaria Day Event

Where: The corner of Ninth Avenue and Gansevoort St (Take A, C, E, L to 14th St) (Chelsea)
When: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Ages: 10 and up with adult supervision (one adult to every four minors)

Description: Join Children for Children/Youth HandsOn Network, and City Harvest for a Repack—taking large quantities of produce and dividing it up into smaller packages that City Harvest will distribute to more than 600 community food programs. It’s a simple and fun way for volunteers to do their part to bring fresh healthy food to all New Yorkers. Event is free.

Attention Volunteers! More Projects Added!

Children for Children will also be providing a variety of fun hands-on service projects during Global Youth Service Day. Volunteers of all ages will assemble toiletry care kits to be sent to homeless support organizations, make cards for recent immigrants, learn about CFL bulbs and energy efficiency, Building Healthy Communities, and World Malaria Day! Projects are appropriate for ages 5 and up. Event is free. No RSVP required.
