The event will also feature WE tv Power Grants: $1,000 each, which will be awarded to three girls who develop winning "Changemaker" ideas of how to effect change in their communities!

Children for Children's Annual Benefit

Children for Children’s Ninth Annual Benefit, The Art of Giving, will take place on April 13th, 2010. The event will be held at Christie’s auction house at 20 Rockefeller Plaza, and will honor Katie Couric, Anchor of the CBS Evening News.

PLAYATHON for Haiti

Now through March 31, Hasbro Children's Fund will match the total amount raised through PLAYATHON for Haiti events in support of SOS Children's Villages - up to a total of $500,000. One hundred percent (100%) of funds donated to SOS Children's Villages will be used to purchase shelter for displaced and orphaned Haitian children. For more information click here!

Grow Involved on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2010

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and participated with Children for Children/Youth HandsOn Network for the Eighth Annual Grow Involved on Martin Luther King Jr. Day hands-on service event on Monday, January 18th at Manhattan's Martin Luther King High School and PS 57 James Weldon Johnson School in Harlem. Both events run from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Click here for event details.

This year's event was bigger and better than ever. In New York, nearly 4,000 volunteers participated in a variety of hands-on service projects that helped to raise awareness about issues in the community and to help thousands of people in need.
